Six months!

Our littlest one is six months old!  How did that happen?
He is such an amazing little boy and he is very, very loved by all of us.  I wish time would slow down a little.
He is our little chunky monkey who loves to eat.  He eats everything I offer to him and even loves to gnaw on a rib bone.
He loves watching his big brother and sister and wants to do everything they are doing!
We are so blessed!

Art and the Underwater Ghost.

We are so incredibly proud of G!  He never liked drawing and coloring and that is even stated in his end-of-the-year Kindergarten assessment papers.  Yet, we got an email from his Art teacher this week (public school) saying that his art was picked for the K-12 art show in the neighboring town.  Out of 6 elementary schools in the area, there were only TWO paintings done by 1st graders!  One of them was G's!
We are just so incredibly proud of him for working hard on his drawing and coloring and paining, and sticking with it.  He is growing to be such an amazing little person!

G called his art "Underwater Ghost" and it is done with crayons and watercolor.

Beautiful scary ghost! The art under G's is an ink-jet print by a High School Senior. They must have some kind of computer art classes there.

Annika had an art show at her pre-school as well.  This was a fun week at her school.  Monday was the art show reception.  Tuesday was "Hat Day".  Wednesday was "Silly Day" and Thursday was "Pajama Day".

Too dry. Too wet. Too Loose Lautrec.

Actually, there are no pictures of Lautrec's work here, because we found his art to be boring, but the kids really enjoyed visiting MoMA in Midtown Manhattan.  What an amazing, beautiful place!

5 months old!

Only 7 more months until he is ONE!  Time sure is flying right now!
We just started solids and he absolutely loves sweet potatoes.  And, he can even sit unassisted for a couple of moments :)

Jumperoo

B*ennett loves his Jumperoo (that we saved from Baby G days)!  I cannot believe he is old enough to use it!!!
Today was a milestone.  He was jumping so hard and got so tired that he fell asleep in it.  Oh, my!  What cuteness!  G did this all the time when he was teeny-tiny.  Annika hated jumping, she only liked her exersaucer.
I am in love with the fact that I get to experience this stage one more time.

Love-love my chunky monkey!

Snowmageddon Juno.

Today was a fun day!  Massachusetts had a travel ban in effect, so everyone had to stay home.  The city did a great job with keeping the roads clean.  They worked non-stop since Monday evening.  So, we were never in any danger and could always call for help if needed.
We had a nice and cozy fire in our fireplace.  I made waffles with Hawaiian coconut syrup.  I had to basically make up my own recipe, because non of the recipes online tasted as good as the real syrup.  It turned out awesome! We played outside and watched "Ghostbusters".  The weather was PERFECT!
School is cancelled tomorrow, too, but the travel ban has been lifted and everything will be open.
We love it!  We have an opportunity to move to a very warm state, but are choosing to stay here for the time being because we want the kids to have THIS... this snow, this excitement and this life: ocean, mountains, amazing mild summer days, snow storms and no earthquakes ;p  Life is good and this blizzard was a wonderful experience that we will never forget.  I'm saying all of this because I'm tired of people feeling sorry for us and our weather.  No need to feel bad for us (unless we lose electricity... then feel free to feel sorry for us)!  May we ALL love where we live!

Legoland Discovery Center

A couple of weeks ago we took the kids to the new Legoland Discovery Center in Boston.
They had so much fun that we spent over 4 hours there.  They watched several 4D movies, rode rides, played at the indoor playground and built lots and lots of Lego things.

We are expecting a blizzard tonight and tomorrow. We are ready and excited for a nice day at home. We have lots of food and things to do. As long as we have electricity, we will be happy.

Swimming

A couple of weeks ago the kids went to a birthday party at our local pool.  Swimming is definitely one of their most favorite activities!

Annika had her first recital today.  She did such a great job!  All the little kids did awesome and our ears are slowly recovering...

Waiting for her turn.
